What’s In Your Toolbox? How do you cut dyneema cleanly??

A candidate for the beginner’s toolbox?

Have you tried cutting dyneema with a nice clean finish? It’s pretty difficult… when you try to slice it sort of scoots down the blade.

It seems the answer is “dyneema scissors”. Try keying that into amazon and see what you get…. quite a few!! It seems that the scissor blades have slight serrations – and that helps hold the dyneema in place as you cut.

Marblehead Report – Sunday 28th

The weather at Datchet was horrid. The “feels like” temperature was 6 degrees…. And it rained a LOT !!

Results :-
Four of us lined up with our Marbleheads today including Rob with his previously loved Quark (Mark 1) – we were on the north course in C2s except Graham, who tried a B and so missed the first 3 races, and the came out with a C2, too small. In Race 5 Phil and I had a Port/Starboard and as a result he got his back stay pinged off and so that was his day. With some longish breaks we eventually managed 8 races which were mostly closely fought and the last number in the rain, which made it even colder, we called it a day. Rob 6 pts
Hugh 10pts
Phil 18 pt
Graham 20 pts
