A blowy start to the 2024 series! Look at that sky…. Says it all.
The fleet started on C1 rigs and progressively worked their way down to C3 🙂
Six competitors on the water, I believe!
Yesterday, Sunday, was the last informal racing of the closed season – so everyone was keen to get the chance for a tune up before the 2024 season gets under way.
There were lovely bright conditions today and an amazing IOM fleet of all abilities amounted to 12 competitors! Not bad for late January!! We were on the north course at Datchet with the southerly breeze direction.
Four weeks to the RYA Show at Farnborough where “live” radio sailing will again be a large feature.

After a brilliant year at Datchet, the overall results are in!! Prizegiving this weekend !!
The Major News is that the winner of the John Shorrock Memorial Trophy for IOM in 2023 is our super Racing Secretary, Hugh McAdoo !
