Don’t be put off by the feeling you have the wrong Rig on !
Some suggestions as to how to spot the need to change :-
1/ Seems difficult to tack? Try changing down a size.
2/ Constant nosediving downwind ? Try changing down a size.
3/ Upwind, a bit more Lee helm than you expect? Try changing up a size.
Marbleheads yesterday at Datchet. Conditions were a little better that the two days of Rankings last weekend. However C3s we’re the order of the day.
Three of us did not have C3s, I briefly tried a C2 but together with water in the pot did not start, this left three ready for racing. After two races, won by Phil and Nigel respectively, they came ashore for a bit of a re trim, Richard U sailing the late John Shorrock’s Quark.
Phil had to take his Grandson home and he kindly lent me his F-6. We then sailed another 7 races with several breaks for coffee and battery changes, Phil’s boat was in excellent form and I managed to win 6 of these 7.
The fun ended when Nigel had commitments at home and Richard and I decided that racing with two was a non starter.
The points were

Nigel 13 pts
Richard 18 pts
Hopefully we will have a little less wind for Tens and IOMs next weekend😑
