Winter Clothing and Keeping Warm – Ever Felt Fashionable…?!?!

An odd thing happened at Chipstead last Saturday – it was chilly with a “feels like 2 degrees” out there. I was amazed to find that out of around 20 people, four of us were wearing the same top layer. It was this robe from Rooster Sailing…. “I’m fashionable” !!

Nigel kindly let me try his robe on last week at Datchet (weather disgusting, horizontal rain and 40 knot gusts) and I was impressed. Good fit !! Anyway, there is sale on at Rooster so I ordered one and postage was free. On that same disgusting weather day I was wearing my 2021 Dry Robe – very snug but too bulky for radio sailing. I had bought it during covid lockdown for changing clothes outside when Club changing room were closed. It was brilliant for that. The Dry Robe product is so fashionable now people wear them to Waitrose! And the school run!!

The things about the Rooster Robe that stand out for me are the long body length ( a new experience for a 6′ 2″ male), the closed wrists, the removable fleece liner and the overall warmth and quality.

When we were getting new logo’d clothing for the Flying Fifteen Class, Rooster came forward with some amazing products and ideas. I have several things from Rooster now and have never been disappointed – especially their long sleeve UV Protection T shirts for summer. Nice quality. Should be mandatory for radio sailors in summer 🙂

Now here’s another thing – if you go to the Rooster website home page and scroll through the little slideshow there, you will see the Company Founder out radio sailing !! In his Rooster robe !!

Anyway – Rooster Robe – delighted, warm, and four people out of twenty at a radio sailing event makes it a fashion.
