It’s been quiet at Datchet – no wind and only a billion gallons of water left in the lake!!

Meanwhile, we had two members at the German Tens Nationals, we have two members I think at the One Metre worlds in Australia… and three Datchet members at the DF95 Travellers Event at Gosport!!

The report below from our Commodore competing at Gosport…!!

Whilst our intrepid inter-continental travellers (Richard and Hugh) battled in the German 10R championships three of us decided to travel to Gosport last Friday for a round of the M&S 95 district series. With light(ish) winds from the North and a sprinkling of weed around the course it was not the most ideal of conditions but Gosport put on a good event with tea/coffee & cake available throughout the day. 24 boats split into 2 heats completed 8 races. Top spot was taken by a very consistent David Adam’s from East Kent RSC whilst our own commodore was edged out of second place after being attacked by a clump of weed in the last race. Great fun and helped with the disappointment of our own low water conditions and lack of sailing this weekend.
